You will be responsible for supporting our products, forming relationships with customers worldwide and being an industry thought leader on the best practices of maintaining the Oracle E-Business Suite through the use of our products. Your technical prowess in the understanding of Oracle software and databases, especially in an Oracle E-Business Suite environment will be the basis of your success. Couple this with the ability to establish relationships on many managerial levels and communicate both in the spoken and written word and you should do well.
This position works with Marketing, Sales and Product Development. As such, you should feel comfortable presenting to small groups of people and doing remote product demonstrations. This position requires the ability to occasionally travel to customer sites to do two day Best Practices training.
The closer you are to Burlington Vermont, the fewer of these skills you need to have:
Full lifecycle support
Supporter of Change Management practices
Understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite architecture
Installation, configuration and application upgrades
Experience with System architectures, including disaster recovery
SOX, HIPAA or other compliance experience
Experience preparing and giving PowerPoint presentations
Training of technical and user staff experience
AD utilities, patching and automation
Applications system administration and troubleshooting
Minimum 3 years of experience with Oracle EBS DBA
Installation, backup, recovery experience
Experience in architecting and design of software products
Strong SQL, PL/SQL and Java programming background and exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite Development support (Supporting customizations in AOL, XML experience, Alerts, and Workflow)
Experience with Java either as a programmer or as a DBA supporting Java would be considered a high-value add
Perl development experience
Defining and Documenting business and technical requirements
Experience with tools such as Oracle Applications Manager, Oracle Enterprise Manager, custom-scripting, Quest, Toad etc
Significant experience in industry “best practice” for Application customization of Oracle EBS and will be well versed in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Experience working in self-directed, high-performance teams
Highly organized, flexible, innovative, self-motivated, self-confident
Have the ability to develop rapport with client management and maintain strong working relationships while successfully managing customer expectations
Superior communication skills, both written and spoken
