OAUG Survey Chart on IT Automation - 2008
The OAUG Survey on IT Automation Strategies found that 64 percent of companies agreed that time saved through the automation of routine tasks, such as "reporting", allows time for activities with greater value to the business. Another 44 percent said that IT automation helps reduce maintenance costs, and a similar number cited the ability to take potential human errors out of the equation. Another 38 percent are focused on improving compliance management/providing better audit trails. (See Figure 10.)
